He was the son of the late Lawrence and Pearl Puckett, a native of Hart County, a retired employee of the Old Martin's Transfer and Warehouse Co; an Army veteran of World War II, and a member of Disabled American Veterans and Teamster Union Local 89. Survivors include two daughters, Patricia Moore of Kessinger, and Carolyn Shuffitt of Louisville; six sons: Douglas Puckett, Kessinger, Edgar T, Curtis R. and Anthony Puckett all of Shepherdsville; Gary and Roy Puckett, both of Louisville. Four stepdaughters, Dorothy Hutchins, Bloomfield; Betty Mattingly, Barbara Davenport, and Patricia Wilson, of Louisville; two stepsons, W. A. and Boyd Curtsinger both of Louisville; three sisters, Kathleen D. Puckett, Bessie M. Puckett, and Ruby G. Taylor, all of Munfordville; four brothers, Walter L. Puckett, Cub Run; James L., William L., and Norman G. Puckett, all of Munfordville; and numerous grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Funeral services were held Saturday, December 5, at the Arch L. Heady Okolona Funeral home, 8519 Preston Hwy, Louisville, with burial in the Resthaven Memorial Park.
