A native of Hart County, she was a member of Lucas Grove Baptist Church. She was preceded in death by her husband, Wilburn Smith; a son, David Smith; and three daughters, Joyce Sanders, Barbara Butler and Aline Bell. Survivors include five sons, Tom Smith, Roger Smith, Gary Smith and Robert Smith, all of Upton, and Paul Smith of Munfordville; three daughters, Mary Logsdon and Betty Snyder, both of Clarkson, and Beverly Staples of Upton; a sister, Stella Smallwood of Elizabethtown; 37 grandchildren; 51 great- grandchildren and 10 great-great-grandchildren. the funeral is 3 p.m. today at Lucas Grove Baptist Church near Upton with the Rev. Raymond Craddock and the Rev. Andy Weaver officiating. Burial will be in Jagers Cemetery in Cub Run. Visitation continues from 9 a.m. to 8 p.m. today at Manakee Funeral Home in Upton.
