He was a member of the Clearpoint Cumberland Presbyterian Church and a retired farmer. Survivors include a sister-in-law, Lavora Gossett, Horse Cave; eight nieces, Anna Lee Ogden Jones, Margoline Sexton, Margie Burd, Wanda Weller, Jean Hedgepeth, June Burks, Barbara Steffel, and Betty Waddell; ten nephews, Glen Bastin, Keith Bastin, Don Bastin, W.R. Waddell, Harold Lee "Tommy" Waddell, James Clellon Waddell, C.L. Waddell, J.C. (Bub) Waddell, Don Waddell, and Johnnie Lee Waddell; several great-nieces and great-nephews also survive. Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m. Thursday in the chapel of Winn Funeral Home with burial in the Cosby Cemetery.
