News, Munfordville, KY, January 19, 1984: Joe L. Wheeler, 78, Route 2, Magnolia, died Saturday, January 14 at Caverna Memorial Hospital in Horse Cave. He was a member of South Fork Baptist Church and a retired farmer. He is survived by his wife, Mrs. Lillie Polston Wheeler, Routs 2, Magnolia; Four daughters, Dorothy Wilson and June Wildon, both of Louisville, Jo Ann Childress, Hodgenville, and Wanda Childress, Magnolia; three step-daughters, Mary Logsdon, Canmer, Minnie Walsh, Magnolia, and Lillian Ragland, Upton; three sisters, Lula constant, Indiana, Alma Harris, Louisville, and Minnie Walters, Magnolia; two brothers, charles Wheeler, Louisville, and Ray wheeler, Elizabethtown; a half-brother, Harvey Wheeler, Louisivlle. Several grandchildren and great-grandchildren also survive. Funeral services were conducted at 1 p.m. Monday in the chapel of Stearman Funeral Home in Munfordville with the Reverends Lonnie Sheets and Howard Srygler officiating. Burial was in the Magnolia Cemetery.
