Request For Pension
My name is William BRENT age 80 years. I was a slave of Robert BEVERLY of 
Henderson, Ky.  My wife Cecilia BRENT was also a slave her master was Jackson DUNN 
her age is 77 years.  Having heard of that there were to be pensions given to all 
slaves so therefore I write for information. -- William BRENT #225 Julia St. 
Henderson, Ky.  Received Dec 30, 1897.
