Watkins, 61, of Liberty, died Thursday at Ephraim McDowell Regional Medical Center. Born May 1, 1941, in Henderson, she was the daughter of the late Lee and Emalee Bonnell Trent. She was a missionary and member of Springfield Community Church. She helped raise 48 children through her missionary work. Survivors include her husband, the Rev. Kenneth L. Watkins; seven daughters, Sharon Coomes of Owensboro, Keni Ford of Cloverport, Vickie Walters and Pamela Hawk, both of Henderson, Marcia Watkins of Berea, Mary Beth Watkins of Liberty and Barbara E. Watkins of Colorado Springs, Colo.; two sons, Del Watkins of Arkansas and Tim Stone of Owensboro; a brother, Randall Trent of Hazelgreen, Ala.; a sister, Vadian Stone of Henderson; 17 grandchildren and two great-grandchildren. Services will be 2 p.m. today at Bartle Funeral Home by the Rev. Dennis Hanvey. Graveside services will be 11 a.m. Tuesday at Bethabara Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Brian and Nathan Coomes, Rickie and Brandon Walters, Justin Stone and Benjamin and Matthew Hawk. Honorary pallbearer will be Timothy Hawk.
