Howard jhhoward@comcast.net May 21, 2007, 10:50 am Source: Henderson Co., Ky; Will Book B P 102 Written: February 20, 1826 Recorded: April 24, 1826 Cornelius Howard (c1744-1826) Will Henderson County KY Written: 20 February 1826 Probate: 24 April 1826 Source: Henderson Co., KY; Will Book B p 102 Knowing that it is appointed all men onst to die, being in perfect mind and memory, I make this my last will and testament in the year of our Lord One Thousand Eight hundred and Twenty Six, First I bequeath my Soul to God from whence it came my body to the dust to be buried in a Christian like manner as touching my worldly affairs all my just debts being paid, I will and bequeath my negro boy George to my son Benjamin Howard my land and all my personall estate to be equilly devided between my three daughters to wit, Elizabeth Sheeks, Charity Elliott, Susan Garner 3rdly I will and bequeath my negro woman Chana. To be Sold to the highest bidder and one half the money rising for her I will and bequeath to my Son Joseph Howard and the other half to be equilly devided amongst my lawful and on named heirs. I wish the before mentioned property to be sold on a Credit of Nine Months. Signed and acknowledged in the presence of us this 20th day of February in the year above written.
