G. GARDNER 2846, Henry Co. Surname: Gardner, Kelly, Browning, Jones Kentucky: A History of the State, Battle, Perrin, & Kniffin, 6th ed., 1887, Henry Co. J. G. GARDNER was born in Henry County, Ky., in 1842, a son of Wesley Gardner, a farmer of Clark County. He was educated at the common school, and has always followed farming. In 1887 he married Mrs. Josie Browning, daughter of J. B. and Amanda (Kelly) Jones, natives, respectively, of Kansas and Kentucky. Mrs. Gardner, by her former husband, has three children: George, Frank and Daisy. Mr. Gardner is a well-to-do farmer, owning 125 acres of well improved land in Pleasureville, Henry County. He is a member of the Methodist Church. Politically he is a Democrat.
