From the Danville Advocate Messenger, 30 June 2002 Services for Vivian D. Crutcher, 85, of Springhill Drive were noon Saturday at Preston-Pruitt Funeral Home by the Rev. Tommy Valentine. Burial was in Spring Hill Cemetery, Harrodsburg. She died Wednesday at Jewish Hospital, Shelbyville. Born Feb. 21, 1917, in New Castle, she was the daughter of the late Oscar and Adelina Baugh Dunavan. She was a bookkeeper and homemaker. She also was a volunteer at Ephraim McDowell Regional Medical Center. She was a member of Friends of the Library, Smithsonian Society, Audubon Society and Lexington Avenue Baptist Church. She was the widow of William "Bill" Crutcher. Survivors include a daughter, Margaret Crutcher of Danville; two grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren. Pallbearers will be Gordon Sale, Dan Gousha, Lewis Cruz, James Kephart, Larry Wolff and Leonard Yount. Memorials may go to Glaucoma Research Center.
