Marriage of William Hardin and Nancy Sparks     October 4th 1838  
Henry Co., Kentucky Court Records

Know all me by this presents that we William Hardin and Balis Hardin are held 
and firmly bound unto the Commonwealth of KY in the sum of $50 to be payment 
whereof and truly to be paid we bind ourselves our heirs & family severally 
affirming by this presents sign 4 Oct 1838.  The condition of this obligation 
is such that when a marriage is about to be solemnized between said W. Hardin 
& Nancy Sparks of the County.  Now if it shall always appear that this is no 
just cause to obstruct said marriage then this obligation to be and remain in 
full force and virtue, else null and void.
