SLATON and POLLY O'BRYAN who are buried in the Pleasant View Cemetery. Clifton Slaton's first wife ARMINA HENRY was the daughter of MARTHA A. FOXWELL & ISAAC HENRY of Webster Co., KY. MARTHA A. FOXWELL was the daughter of JONATHAN FOXWELL & MARTHA BALDWIN. Jonathan Foxwell was born in Maryland (according to several US censuses) but removed to North Carolina where he married Martha Baldwin who was born in NC. They were in Hopkins County, Kentucky by 1830. Jonathan Foxwell died intestate in Webster County, Kentucky in 1876. Clifton and Armina Slaton's daughter Martha A. Slaton was an heir of 1/6 of her maternal great grandfather J. Foxwell's estate according to Webster County, Kentucky court records. Jonathan Foxwell's dtr. Sarah McCormick was the mother of Mary E. Greer who was my Great Grandmother. I have two links to the Slatons: 1 through Clifton Slaton's wife Armina Henry (granddtr of Jona. Foxwell) and through Lonnie (my Great Aunt Lenora Greer's husband).
