The Gleaner
C. M. Day,79 retired telegraph operator for The Louisville & Nashville Railroad 
dies suddenly at 11:15 o'clock Saturday morning at his home 1021 South Second 
St. Henderson, KY. His death is attributed to heart trouble. Services will be 
held at 2 o'clock this afternoon at the residence of the Rev. Logan B. English, 
pastor of the First Babtist Church. The funeral party will leave by train at 
2:45 o'clock for Crofton,KY where continued services will be held. 
Pallbearers will be, honorary: Haydon L. Sutton, L. W. Rogers, J.N. Southard 
and George H. Waltz. Active:Charles Taylor, Miles Crawley, W. W. Wilkey, H. S. 
Kinney, Roscie Jewell and Adam Seller.

Additional Comments:
Survivors include his widow Lillian Vaughn Day, a  son Cyrus Mitchell Day II-
Guthrie,KY ,two daughters Mrs. Jessee Tweedell, Henderson & Mrs W Kevin Hopkins 
and grandchildren. Burial in Christian Privelege Church cemetery.
