Age 54 years, 9 months and 18 days. She professed religion and joined the M. E. Church, South in the year 1873. The following year on Jan. 22nd She was married to William Thomas Trice. Sister Trice was a faithful and consistent member of the Methodist church till the day of her death. She was a dutiful mother and a faithful wife. It was the writer's good pleasure to visit in her home and she never failed to call us to prayer before we left. A few hours before her death we called on her, and though she was suffering intensely, she did not forget to ask us to pray with her. After prayer as we sang the beautiful words "Jesus Lover of My Soul" she repeated them after us, and as we talked together, she repeatedly exclaimed "Jesus is with me." As the Saints of God who entered the "Haven of Eternal Rest" before her, died, so died she, in the triumphs of a living faith. She leaves a husband, five sons and two daughters and a number of grandchildren and a host of friends to mourn her loss. But I beg these sorrowing ones not to grieve overmuch, for she has gone to be with Christ and the Angels, and truly our loss is her gain. Let us say in the words of the Master "Thy will be done," for we know he doeth all things well, and "they that over- cometh shall inherit all things and I will be their "God" saith the Lord Almighty, and we know she overcame. May the mantel of the wife and mother fall upon the husband and children, is the prayer of her. Pastor.
