Kermit Clayton, 1902-1948 Mary Dixon Clayton, 1908- -------------------------------------------------------------------------- IN LOVING MEMORY of Pvt. O W Clayton, who was killed in action November 8, 1944, in France. Your memories are as dear today as in the hour you went away; So lonesome here without you, Sad and weary is the way. Life has not been the same Since you were called away. If I could only tread the path That leads me to your grave, Where rest the one we loved so well but whom we could not save. The flowers we'd place upon your grave would wither and decay; But love for you who sleeps beneath, would never fade away. He has gone to meet his little son, who has gone on before, and pray some day we'll meet them on that Happy golden shore. In the lonely hours of thinking Thoughts of you are always near, Days of sadness that o'er us, Is the wish that we could see His smiling face, and talk to him today; But we will meet again, I know, To meet and part no more! Our thanks to our many friends, for the cards, consoling words and kindness. Sadly missed by parents: Mr and Mrs Aaron Clayton, brothers and little daughter, Sharon Gayle.-- [Did not locate burial information] -------------------------------------------------------------------------- Former Mortons Gap Police Judge Dies Green Clark, age 82, former Police Judge of Mortons Gap, died at Madisonville.
