Mr Farquhar, who went to California twenty years ago, and had resided there since, is survived by the widow, Mrs Lloyd Farquhar, three sons, Ira Farquhar, Hanson; Rad Farquhar, Torrence, Calif., Whit Farquhar, Carlsbad; three brothers, Coy Farquhar, Roy Farquhar, S B Farquhar, all of Carlsbad; four sisters, Mrs James G Cloern, Earlington; Mrs Nola Vaughn, Louisville; Mrs Minnie Beckham, Oceanside; Mrs Laura Boyd, Lomita, Calif.; seven grandchildren and one great- grandchild. Funeral will be conducted in Carlsbad Monday and burial will be in a cemetery there. Burial was in the Providence cemetery. Surviving are the widow, Mrs Titha Franklin; mother, Mrs Sallie Franklin; three brothers, Chesley, Thomas and Edward Franklin, all of Dawson Springs, and two sisters, Mrs Oma Oldham and Mrs Carna Mae Ausenbaugh, both of Dawson Springs. Funeral services will be conducted at 2 pm Wednesday at Dawson Springs Primitive Baptist church. Elder Aaron Reeder, Harrisburg, Ill., will officiate. Burial will be in Rosedale cemetery at Dawson Springs. Mrs Franklin is survived by her husband, U J Franklin; three children, Harland Franklin, Tucson, Ariz., and Vernon Franklin, Nortonville section sons, and Mrs Lee Dillingham, Nortonville, daughter; two brothers, George and Curtis Horsefield, Mortons Gap, and a sister, Mrs Belle Swope, Mortons Gap. [Did not locate burial information] -------------------------------------------------------------------------- Herman Arnold Funeral Rites Elder Herman Wright Arnold, 73, a native of Hopkins county, died at 4:45 am Saturday in Capitol Manor Nursing Home in Frankfort. A minister in the Primitive Baptist Church, Arnold had made his home in Lexington for the past 27 years. He was forced to retire because of ill health 12 years ago and had been seriously ill for two years. Arnold was born in Hopkins county June 27, 1892, the son of the late Thomas L Arnold and Mrs Mary Susan Daniel Arnold. He was a member of the Paris Primitive Baptist Church at Paris, Ky. Survivors include the wife, Mrs Bertha Ethel Lutz Arnold; three daughters, Mrs Grace Goins, Mrs Joe Nell Branaham and Mrs Mary Lee Taylor, all of Lexington; four sons, Buford, Horace, James and Gary Arnold, all also of Lexington; four sisters, Mrs Charlie Siria, Mrs George Siria, Mrs G A Curneal and Mrs Michael Noel, all of Madisonville; a brother, Johnnie Arnold, Manitou route 1, and a number of nieces and nephews. Funeral services were held at 1 pm today at Salem Primitive Baptist Church, West Center street, Elder Eddie Beshear officiated and burial was in Olive Branch Cemetery near Hanson. The body was conveyed to Millwood and funeral services were held at the Caney Creek Primitive Baptist church, of which he had been a member for years, at 3:30 o'clock Sunday afternoon, Elder R H Wilcox, of Leitchfield, the pastor, officiating. Weedman had lived in this city for five years, but for the last two years he had resided at Hartford; Cordis Weedman and Mrs Jesse Anderson, both of Paducah, and other relatives. The children and fourteen grandchildren attended the funeral services. James W Nisbet, Frank Leeper and Ervin Siria, Madisonville post office employes, also attended the last rites. Mrs Lula Weedman, 84, died at 4:30 am yesterday in her home in Hartford following a week of illness. She was the widow of John Weedman. Surviving are four children: Fon Weedman, Madisonville; Lon Weedman, Hartford; Cordis Weedman, Paducah; Mrs Pearl Anderson, Louisville; fourteen grandchildren and three great-grandchildren. Funeral was conducted at 2 pm today in Caney Primitive Baptist church, Millwood, Ky., of which she had been a member for years. Elder R H Wilcox, Leitchfield, officiated.
