Kincaid "lastar@ametro.net Date: 5 Apr 2000 ********************************************************************** I have received a letter from the old Lutheran Church records in Jeffersontown, KY. I would like to share all thirteen pages with you. We will do our best to type them verbatim as follows: 9212 Taylorsville Road Jeffersontown, KY 40299 March 23, 2000 Mr. B. A. Kincaid 6001 Woods Road Picayune, MS Dear Mr. Kincaid: In response to your inquiry to Pastor Poisel regarding the Wiseheart family, I am enclosing 12 pages of notes. These notes were made from old church records and I think you will find them self-explanatory. This represents about four hours of research. I am not sure that you will be able to find the family ties that you are looking for but certainly the Nelson County people and the Jefferson County people were of the same family. There are not currently, to the best of my knowledge, any members of the Wiseheart family who are members of the church. The family group sheet refers to family being buried ad Cane Run Cemetery. I would be interested to know which Cane Run Cemetery you are referencing. I personally visited Cane Run Presbyterian and Cane Run Methodist in 1993 and did not find any stones bearing the name Wiseheart or any similar spelling. Is there another Cane Run Cemetery? The ones I visited are located in eastern Jefferson County. In a cemetery listing for Elk Creek Baptist Church Cemetery in Spencer Co. listings are as follows: Margaret A. Wisehart born May 25, 1910 Harrison Kavanaugh Wisehart b. 1878, died 1941 Birdie Floyd Wisehart born 12/27/1881, died April 22, 1969 Mary Lena Wisehart born 1/7/1904. Grave very new in Aug. 1994 with no death date. An obit record from First Baptist Church of Taylorsville shows Hannah Wiseheart, age 63 died near Taylorsville July 28, 1882, married 11/10/1840. Also in your first communication to Pastor you indicated you had obtained information earlier from the Church. I hope I have not reinvented the wheel since I do not know what sort of information you had received. We do not have a history of the Church. We are currently trying to determine exactly what we have in the way of archives with an eye to the future for publishing such a document. I would very much like to know if this information is helpful and also about the cemetery. Please respond to me at the Church address shown above. Sincerely, Lois D. When Gideon married Nelly he used the name Killiam Wiset and records show S in G (Ref Note 12 church records - Gillion is used) His descendants used Wizard, Wizzard, Wiseheart and in the 1900's They used Wyzard. I affirmed the above notes to be a true copy of the church records as sent to me. Bernard A. Kincaid April 5, 2000
