John D. WICKLIFFE and Mrs. WICKLIFFE, to Mr. Levert LAWRENCE, of Louisville, was solemnized at the home of the bride's parents today at noon. Miss Ala TURNER, of Vinegar Bend, Ala., was maid of honor, and Mr. George MORAN, of Louisville, was best man. The Rev. Frank HARDY, of Christ Church, Louisville, performed the ceremony. A wedding breakfast was served and the couple left for Louisville, where they will make their home. "From Big Sandy to Mills Point" New Haven - A verdict rendered by a jury in the Nelson County Circuit Court sentenced Pius JARBOE, a negro, to ten years in the penitentiary for the murder of Earl CISSELL, also colored, last January. Bardstown - The grand jury, after returning quite a number of indictments, has adjourned until Monday of next week. The RHODES will contest in which the children of Herod RHODES were fighting one another to break their father's will, has been settled. Fletcher COMBS, of Shepherdsville, and Benedict ELDER, of Louisville, were among the visiting attorneys here this week. OBITUARY-Mrs. Bertha THOMPSON CLARK New Haven, Ky., Oct. 20: Mrs. Bertha THOMPSON CLARK, 35 years old, died at her home in Gethsemane after a lingering illness of a complication of diseases. She is survived by her husband and four children. RELATIVES CONTEST WILL OF NELSON COUNTY FARMER Bardstown, Ky., Oct. 20 - The Nelson Circuit Court is now engaged in trying the contest over the will of Hundley TROUTMAN, a bachelor farmer who lived near Boston, this county. TROUTMAN was operated on at the Jewish Hospital, Louisville, and made his will a short time before his death, leaving the bulk of his estate, valued at about $50,000 to his half-sister, Mrs. Belle WISE. The fight is being made on the will by his half-brothers and other half-sisters and their children.
