Bernice V. Ashby, 82, of 1128 W. Indian Trail, died Friday at Franciscan Healthcare 
Center. She was the former Bernice Hatfield, a native of Grayson County, a retired
postmaster in Millwood and a member of Kentucky Avenue Church of Christ and 
Leitchfield Order of Eastern Star 26. Survivors: two daughters, Cora Wilkins and Clora 
Caswell; a son, Robert Ashby; a brother, Stanley Hatfield of Big Clifty; a sister, 
Grace Lane; seven grandchildren; and seven great-grandchildren. Funeral: 10 a.m. CST 
Monday, Dermitt Funeral Home, Leitchfield. Burial: Vol Layman Cemetery, Millwood. 
Visitation: after noon CST Sunday.
