Bridwell Succumbs to heart trouble at city home. Was Deputy County Clerk. Archie Aylward Bridwell, sixty-one years old passed away unexpectedly at his home on Beech Street in Louisville at 6:30 a.m., Wednesday morning shortly after he had eaten his morning meal. Mr. Bridwell who had been suffering with an affection of the heart for some two years had yet been up and about his duties, a part at least of each week and had given up to be in bed only a few days prior to his death. His wife who had served his breakfast was at his bedside when the end came. Born and retired at Jeffersontown, he had spent all his life here until nine years ago when he moved to the city. For ten years, from 1914-1924 he held the position as postmaster at Jeffersontown and was widely known all over this section of the county. He was a member of the Methodist church and also of the Jeffersontown Masonic Lodge. At the time of his death, he was a deputy under County Clerk, John P. Grieb. Surviving are the widow, Mrs. Fannie Ragland Bridwell; one daughter Mrs. Mary Trauth who with her husband lives near the mother in Louisville; three nieces, Mrs. Isabell Hite, Louisville; Mrs. Willie Lucas, of Canada and Mrs. Fontain Eidson, of California, and one nephew, M.M. Jackman, of Atlanta. The funeral will be from the Jeffersontown Methodist church, Friday afternoon at 2: o'clock, conducted by a life-long friend, Rev. George Hummel, assisted by the paster, Rev. T. T. Frazier and the burial will be with Masonic rites in Jeffersontown Cemetery.
