Cralle Jr.,dies Lee E Cralle., retired Louisville funeral director and businessman, died yesterday at Methodist Evangelical Hospital. He was 87 and lived at 542 Primrose Way. Cralle was former owner and president of Lee E. Cralle Funeral Home. He was one of six Louisville funeral directors who formed a corporation to build Highlands Funeral Home on Taylorsville Road in 1956. He was a retired director of the home, which opened in 1960. He was also past president of Funeral Auto Co. In 1964, Cralle was instrumental in the building of a student center which bears his name at Georgetown College. Cralle was honored in 1962 for serving 25 years as president of the Kentucky YMCA. During his tenure as president the organization inaugurated its Kentucky youth and United Nations assemblies for boys and girls of junior high and high school age. He was a former member of the Commonwealth Life Insurance Co. and Masonic Widows and Orphans Home. Cralle was a trustee for the Old Kentucky Home Council of the Boy Scouts of America and a member of the Rotary Club of Louisville, Big Springs Country Club,Executives of Louisville, Presidents Club of Georgetown College, Abraham Masonic Lodge 8, Scottish Rite and Kosair Shrine. He was a Navy vetran of World War I. Survivors include a wife, Amy Marie Adlam Cralle, a daughter and four grandchildren. The funeral will be at St. Andrews Episcopal Church, 2233 Woodborne Ave. with burial in Cave Hill Cemetery Additional Comments: Cralle's father Lee E. Cralle Sr. was president of the board at the Masonic Widow & Orphans Home many years ago. He was responsible for the beautiful entrance at the Masonic Widows and Orphans Home.
