Dezern, 58, of Louisville, died Friday, March 31, 2000 at his residence. He was retired from Southern Graphics as a roto engraver and was a Chrisitan. He was preceded in death by his wife, Dorothy E. Cummins Dezern; and his parents, Wilbert and Mattie Cosby Dezern. Survivors include three sons, Michael Dezern, Danny Dezern, and Kenneth Dezern, all of Louisville; three daughters, Sheila Hayes and Melinda Polk, both of Louisville, and Bonnie Phelps of Boston, KY; and a brother, Ray Dezern on Bowling Green; a sister, Wanda Ruggles of Louisville, and nine grandchildren. The funeral is 10 a.m. Tuesday in the chapel of Arch L. Heady and Son Funeral Home, 3601 Taylor Blvd., in Louisville. Graveside services will be 11:30 a.m. Tuesday at Boston Christian Church Cemetery in Boston, Ky. The William R. Rust Funeral Home in Boston, KY., is in charge of arrangements.
