Teacher D.B. Finley of Seatonville Road near Jeffersontown died at his home Wednesday morning at 8:10, after being confined to his bed for only a week. He, however, had been in failing health for more than a year and the end was not unexpected. A deacon of the local Baptist church and a teacher of the young men's class, Mr. Finley exerted an influence for good ever among those with whom he was asociated, and he was a great lover and staunch believer in his fellow men. Also he was a member of the Masonic Lodge. Surviving are the widow, Mrs. Ethel Reid Finley and mother, Mrs. L. Finley, of Louisville and a brother, Van Finley, also of Louisville. The funeral will be conducted Friday at 2p.m. at the Jeffersontown Baptist church by the pastor, Rev. L.T. Wright, assisted by a former pastor of Mr. Finley, Dr. G.S. Dobbins of Louisville, and burial will be in Cave Hill Cemetery.
