[Genealogical and transcription notes: Obituary was published in the Louisville
German publication "Louisville Anzieger" on 19 December 1897 - both the German and
English translations are given below.]

Chas. Hund
At his residence on Vernon and Emerald Street, Mr. Charles Hund, a well-known German
citizen, aged 75 years, died yesterday morning at 4:30 o'clock. The deceased was
born on 26 December 1822 in Nussbach, Baden. The funeral takes place tomorrow
afternoon at 2 o'clock at the funeral home.

In seiner wohnung an der Vernon und Emeraldstrasse, starb gestern morgen un halb 5
uhr, Herr Charles Hund, ein bekannter deutscher burger, im alter von 75 jahren. Dir
verstorbene erblicke am 26 Dezember 1822 in Nussbach, Baden, das licht der welt. Die
beerdigung findet morgen nachmittag um 2 uhr vom trauerhaufe aus statt.
