Hardesty, 68, died yesterday at his home in Jeffersontown. In the business here since 1905, he operated his own plant at 421-423 W. Main from 1939 until last year. He was a member of Baxter Council No. 194, Junior Order U.A.M., and Jeffersontown Baptist Church. Surviving, wife, Mrs. Jennie Hardesty; daughter, Mrs. Valeda Slack; sisters, Mrs. Joe Elden, Mrs. Jim Lloyd, Mrs. Ferd Lloyd, Mrs. Georgia Bridwell and Mrs. Lucille Maxey, brothers Ellis, William and Jack Hardesty; one grandchild. Services, 1:30 p.m. Monday, Heady's Chapel; Resthaven Cemetery.
