    James R. Jones, 86, of Okolona, died on Sunday, March 1, 1999, at Caritas Hospital in 
Louisville after an illness.  He was retired from American Standard after working there for 
39 years.  He was a member of Little Flock Baptist Church.
    He was preceded in death by his parents, Veach Jones and Lula Shelton Jones.  He is 
survived by his wife, Jessie Hobbs Jones; one daughter, Glennie Gastinger; three sons, 
Kenny, Leo and Donnie Jones; two brothers, John D. and Joe Jones; 14 grandchildren; 12 
great-grandchildren, and two great-great-grandchildren.
    Funeral services will be at 11 a.m. on Wednesday, March 24, at Schoppenhorst, Neurath & 
Brooks Funeral Home in Pioneer Village with the Rev. Ferrill Gardener officiating.  Burial 
will be in Brookland Cemetery in Pioneer Village.
    Pallbearers will be James, Robert and Daniel Gastinger, Travis and Chris Jones, and 
Jason Larue.
