Courier Journal Louisville Thursday Morning April 2, 1891

Prof. A. P. Kelsey, the father of Mrs. Peter L. Atherton, of this city, died Monday morning of pneumonia, 
near Clinton, N.Y. For many years and up to the time of his death he was a professor of geology at Hamilton 
College, N.Y.  He was fifty-five years old. Mr. Peter L. Atherton and wife left Tuesday for Clinton, where 
the funeral occurred yesterday afternoon.
