Dr. S.C. McCoy is dead at 76. Practiced in city for nearly 50 years. A physician and urologist here for almost 50 years, Dr. Stephen C. McCoy, 76, of 833 Eastern Parkway, died last night at St. Joseph Infirmary. He suffered a cerebral hemorrhage early yesterday. Dr. McCoy was born in Indiana and was educated there and in St. Louis. He was graduated in 1906 from the old Kentucky University Medical Department which later merged with the University of Lousiville. He practiced in Louisville from that time except for a period during World War I when he served in the Medical Corps as a member of the staff of Base Hospital 40 in England. He was a member of the staff at St. Joseph Infirmary and St. Anthony Hospital. At one time he was an instructor in urology at the University of Louisville Medical School. In the last few years he had partially retired from practice. His offices were last located in the Francis Building. Dr. McCoy was a member of th American College of Surgeons, the American Urological Association, the American Medical Association, the Louisville and Jefferson County Medical Societies. He also held membership in the Pendennis and Filson Clubs. Surviving, his wife, Mrs. Mary M. Cox McCoy; sister, Mrs. R. W. Martin of Evansville; niece, Mrs. Ralph Hart of Evansville. Services 10 a.m., Saturday, Lee Craile's Chapel; burial, Booneville, Ind.
