Born in Louisville, Ky., she was the daughter of John A. and Lean (Uppinghouse) Henson. She married John D. Nowland in 1936 and he preceded her in death in 1963. She then married David S. Miller in 1965 and he preceded her in death in 1986. She was a homemaker and a member of the First Church of God. Surviving are one step-daughter, Wilma Jones of Bedford; six step-grandchildren and three nieces. She was preceded in death by one half brother, Chester Spainhourd, and one step-daughter. Services will be at 1:30 p.m. Monday at Ferguson-Lee Funeral Home. Burial will follow at Beech Grove Cemetery. Miller, Jr., Dies Suddenly at Taylorsville Special to the Louisville Times Taylorsville, Ky., Oct 7--C.H. Miller, Jr., 44, prominent in business and civic affairs of Taylorsville, died suddenly last night of a heart atack. He had been ill several years. He was a former member of the Taylorsville city council; a charter member of the Taylorsville-Spencer County Development Association; a deacon of the First Baptist Church and suprintendent of the church's SundaySchool. Operated Variety Store He formerly was associated with his father in the grocery business; later built a food locker plant, which he sold, and at the time of his death operated a variety store. Mr. Miller is survived by his wife, Mrs. Ethel Weston Miller; a son, Ronald; mother, Mrs. C.H. Miller, Sr., and a brother, Johnson Miller.
