M.D. Passes Suddenly Dr. T.J. Tichenor Passed Away Early Saturday Morning. Rests in Valley Cemetery. Dr. T.J. Tichenor, retired physician of spencer County died suddenly at his home, Saturday morning about 7 o'clock. Dr. Tichenor who was sixty-five years old and who had been a stock trader since his retiremenht from the active practice of medicine, had risen early, but not feeling quite well had decided to go back to bed. After seeing him comfortably settled the wife had gone to the kitchen to prepare breakfast, returning later to the bedroom to find Dr. Tichenor has passed away in her absence. All his life, Dr. Tichenor had been a resident of Spencer County although widely known throughout Jefferson and other adjoining counties where he had varied business interests. Surviving besides the widow, Mrs. Myrtle Rouse Tichenor, there are a daughter, Mrs. Charles Boone of Shively; a son, Rouse Tichenor, of Thixton; three brothers, Charles of Waterford, George of Little Mount and Nick of Taylorsville and a sister, Mrs. Nick Gentry of Jeffersontown. The funeral was from the Waterman Baptist church, of which Dr. Tichenor was a member, Monday morning at 11 o'clock conducted by the pastor, Rev. Edgar Pound, assisted by Rev. Thomas J. Tichenor of Little Mount, a nephew and by Rev. R.B. White of Lawrenceburg, an old family friend. Burial was in Valley Cemetery.
