Funeral Thursday for Mrs. Chas. D. Tyler - Mrs. Addie Ritter Tyler, wife of Charles D. Tyler of Jeffersontown, died Tuesday afternoon at 4:30 at the residence of her daughter, Mrs. Georgia Greathouse in Louisville, after a brief illness of pneumonia. She had been removed to the daughter's home, where every care and attention could be given but the effort was fruitless. Mrs. Tyler, who was in her 70th year and a member of the Christian church had quite often herself administered to the sick and the sorrowing in case of bereavements, being a kindly and most sympathetic neighbor, while both she and her husband were ever ready helpers to all friends in times of trouble, hence it seems but fitting when a large circle of friends and neighbors feel keenly the loss since she herself has been called and the inevitable time has come for her own last rites. Surviving Mrs. Tyler besides her husband are four daughters, Mrs. Anna Keller of Jeffersontown, Mrs. Georgia Greathouse of Louisville, at whose home she passed away, Mrs. Eda Miller of Jeffersontown, and Mrs. Della Barry of Versailles; three sons, Larry Tyler of Jeffersontown, Earl Tyler of St. Matthews and Carl Tyler of Lexington; three grandchildren; two sisters, Mrs. Laura Miller of Louisville and Mrs. Ben Cox of Crestwood. The funeral was conducted this (Thursday) afternoon at 2 o'clock at the daughter's residence by Rev. Tinsley of Burksville, a friend fo the deceased, and burial was in Resthaven cemetery.
