From the Danville Advocate Messenger, 1 Dec 2002 LOUISVILLE -- Charles R. "Happy Jack" Gordon, 69, of Louisville, formerly of Junction City, died Friday at Baptist East Hospital in Louisville. Born in Boyle County he was the son of the late Andrew "Buck" and Ella Setters Gordon. He was a Korean War Army veteran and was the owner and operator of C.R. Gordon Painting and Repair, Inc., and co-owner of Goheco, Inc. Survivors include his wife, Ann Gregg Gordon; four daughters, Charlane Gordon Gathy of Lexington and Trina Gordon Buschman, Alicia Gordon Hackbarth and Cristi Gordon Bale, all of Louisville; two step daughters, Diana Klimko and Donna Smith; a sister, Anna "Sissy" Byrd; two brothers, Bill Gordon of Danville and John Gordon Sr. of Louisville; a half brother, Samuel Mounce of Michigan; and 13 grandchildren. Services will be 4 p.m. Monday at Crescent Hill Baptist Church Chapel, 2800 Frankfort Ave., Louisville. A private burial service will be at Cave Hill Cemetery at a later date. Arch L. Heady-Cralle Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.
