James Roberts, Jr. served in the U.S. Armed Forces.  His education level shows 
completed 7th grade.

Additional Comments:
James Roberts served in the Army, enlisting at the age of 17, during World War 
II in Germany.

James Roberts, Jr. and Mary Belle Miller (Marcum) Roberts were married June 
16, 1951 in Shepherdsville, KY and had three children-
Phyllis L Roberts Hargrave; James Roberts, III; Philip Wendell Roberts.  

As of October, 2008, they have seven grandchildren and two great 
grandchildren.  

Mary had two additional children from a previous marriage.  Her first husband, 
William Marcum, died of cancer in 1946.
