Contributed by KyBrenda@aol.com & Marian Date: 24 Aug 2000 ***************************************************************************** Passenger take ill on Bus Dies at Hospital Taken ill while aboard a bus on his way to work this morning, 68 year old Larry Thomas TYLER, head mechanic at the Blue Motor Coach Lines garage, 326 Pearl, died about 8:50 am at General Hospital. Deputy Coroner Harry ELSTONE said death was due to a heart attack. Mr. TYLER who lived at Jefferstown, got off the Jeffersontown-Louisville bus at Bardstown and Speed when he began to feel ill, inteding to walk across the street and catch a bus for home. Persons in nearby stores saw him seated on the curb and went to his aide Police were summoned and he was taken to the hospital. Mr. TYLER had been with the Blue Motor Coach garage since 1943. His wife survives him. Survived by wife, Sally (Gentry) Tyler; 3 sisters, Mrs. Anna Keller, Mrs. Eda Miller, both of Jeffersontown, and Mrs. Della Berry, Versailes, Ky.: 2 brothers, Carl and Earl Tyler and several nieces and nephews. Mr. Tyler is at the Myers Funeral Home, Jeffersontown, where funeral services will be held Wednesday at 2 p.m. Interment, Rest Haven Memorial Park.
