[Genealogical and transcription notes: Charles D. HUND was from Nussbach, Baden,
Germany. Susannah MERKEL immigrated to the US aboard the Scioto in Jun 1854. She was
born in Auerbach, Hessen-Darmstadt, Germany. Astericks indicate indecipherable
letters. In the signature of Otto M?el, I am unable to determine the number of
indecipherable letters. It appears to be too long to be "Merkel."]
