It is behind the home of Mr. Richard Courtney at 110 Woodside Way. He built a split-rail fence around it to preserve it when the developer wanted to bulldoze it, for which our family has been most grateful. Only three stones remain: Hezekiah Samuel Elgin (20 January 1790-24 February 1861) Sarah Singleton Elgin (8 October 1800-25 August 1865) Kate Elgin Stewart (1830-1855) I believe this was on the property of the SINGLETON family and there may be many other graves there. Sarah was the daughter of Edmond Singleton (d. 1814) and his wife Margaret Haydon (d. 1830, daughter of Ezekiel Haydon). Hezekiah S. Elgin was born in Bourbon County, KY and that is why I believe his wife inherited the property on which they lived. The Singleton family were first settlers north of the KY River and founding members of the old South Elkhorn Creek Baptist Church, the first church built north of the KY River. Sarah Singleton's uncle, Manoah Singleton, built the first mill at Keene.
