Dennis C York (age 46 yrs) a Corporal of Capt Goldens Company A 49th Regiment Kentucky Infty Volunteers, was enrolled on the 27th day of June 1863 at Greasy Creek, Knox Co, Ky to serve 1 year,mustered in to service at Camp Nelson Ky Sept. 19-1863 and is reported on muster roll from enrollment is(?) Oct. 31,1863, present;and is so reported to Oct.31. 1864. Mustered outroll of co dated Dec 26' 1864 at Lexington, Ky reports him Private mustered out with co on that date and place with remarks; "Promoted to Sergt May 26/64, and reduced July 18/64" Regtl. returns for July,Aug & Sept 1863 are not on file. Nov 1863,Jany and March 1864 do not report him about. May 1864, Absent sick since May 28'1864; July & Spet 1864, do not report him absent;Nov 1864 not on file. Books of co and Regtl.
