From the Danville Advocate Messenger, 30 June 2002 MORELAND -- Services for Guy R. Eades, 77, of Wilmore will be 2 p.m. Sunday at W.L. Pruitt Funeral Home by Keith Willoughby. Burial will be in Moreland Cemetery. He died Thursday at Thomson-Hood Veterans Center in Wilmore. Born July 23, 1924, in Boyle County, he was the son of the late Henry and Effie Hill Miller Eades. He was a carpenter and a retired Baptist minister. He attended Friendship Baptist Church in Butchertown and was an Army veteran of World War II. Survivors include his wife, Alma Atchley Eades of Frankfort; five sons, Randall Eades of Junction City, Kenneth Eades of Moreland, Conn Eades of Independence, Manuel Eades of Georgetown and Keith Eades of Shelbyville; four daughters, Bonnie Maddox and Ruth Cochran, both of Moreland, Kathy LaVey of Lexington and Nellene New of Shelbyville; three brothers, Allison Eades of Gilbert, S.C., Aretus Eades of Russell Springs and David Eades of Anderson, Ind.; a sister, Adalene Jones of Jamestown; 10 grandchildren; four stepgrandchildren; and three great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by a son, Bobby Eades. Pallbearers will be Buddy Southerland, Delbert Maddox, Rickey Cochran, Steve Maddox, Richard Cochran and Adam LaVey. Honorary pallbearers are granddaughters.
