From the Danville Advocate Messenger, 13 Apr 2003 LANCASTER -- Dorothy Anne Ferrell, 88, died Thursday in Lexington. Born Nov. 6, 1914, in Nicholasville, she was the daughter of the late Dixie Kemper Perkins and Edward Wlaker Perkins. She was a retired librarian at Mary Baldwin College in Virginia and was a librarian at Clifton Forge High School in Virginia. She was a graduate of the University of Kentucky and Vanderbilt University and a member of Beta Sigma Phi Sorority, American Association of University Women, Lioness Club, Lexington Daughters of the American Revolution, Country Book Club, Central Christian Church Circle 16, Staunton Women's Club and Women's Club of Central Kentucky. She was the widow of James E. Ferrell. Survivors include a step-son, James. E. Ferrell of North Carolina; a step grandson and two step-grandaughters. Services will be 2 p.m. Monday at Ramsey Funeral Home. Visitation will be 7-9 p.m. today. Memorials may go to the American Cancer Society and Central Christian Church.
