Born March 23, 1935, in Jessamine County, she was the daughter of the late Cook Gill and Mattie Adams Burge. She was a member of the Pentecostal Church and the widow of James V. Pemberton. Survivors include a daughter, Clara Midkiff of Nicholasville; two sons, Michael Pemberton of Lexington and Dwayne Pemberton of Harrodsburg; three brothers, Jim Burge of Tennessee, Tommy Burge of Florida, and Lawrence Burge of Nicholasville; two sisters, Norma J. Houp of Nicholasville and Freida Davis of Lexington; 11 grandchildren; and six great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by two sons, Jimmy D. and Owen G. Pemberton. Services will be 1 p.m. Thursday at W.L. Pruitt Funeral Home by the Rev. Barry Delaney. Burial will be in Hustonville Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Charles Midkiff Jr., Andy Midkiff, and Pee Wee, Billy, Jerry and Bobby Wilburn.
