YOUNG, ELLA SANDUSKY The Journal, with much sorrow, this week announces the 
death of it's faithful correspondent at Pinckard, Mrs. Ella Sandusky Young, 
wife of Mr. D. A. Young, which occurred Monday morning, August 4, 1902. The 
deceased was a lady of many noble traits of character, numbering her friends 
by the scores, and always ready to extend a helping hand and speak words of 
encouragement to the sad. Besides a devoted husband, the deceased leaves 
five children; Mrs. Mattie Choate, Burgin; Robert Young, Lexington; Dessie, 
Haydon and David, the last three living at home. Tuesday at one o'clock, the 
funeral services were conducted from Mt. Pleasant Baptist Church, by Rev. W. 
C. McCall, who paid a beautiful and worthy tribute to the deceased. The 
interment took place at the Lexington cemetery
