Ky. Will Book (1806) p. 116-117 In the name of God Amen. I Isaac Smith being at this time in my proper mind and senses and sensible of my approaching depotection from my present diseased state of body and being desirous of disposing of the estate with which God hath blessed me before the happening of that event, I do hereby make constitute and appoint this my last will and Testament as follows (to wit) Imprimis. It is my desire that all debts shall be paid out of the money which is owing me in FRANKLIN COUNTY and STATE OF PENNSYLVANIA. Item I give and bequeath unto my beloved wife Polly Smith a childes part of all my estate both real and personal and also one feather bed and furniture and such household furniture as she may choose and one horse saddle and bridle in addition to such childs part to her and her heirs forever. It is moreover my will that my said wife shall have and enjoy the place on which I now live together with all the stock and farming utensils thereunto belonging during her widowhood for the purpose of maintaining and raising the children. And if my said wife should think proper to sell the place on which I now live and go to her friends and relations, she is at liberty so to do, as also the stock and farming utensils and the money arising from such sale to be laid out in lands where she may go to for the benefit of the children . But in case my said wife should marry it is my wish that my land and other estate not bequeathed to her in fee should be by my executors hereafter named sold in whole or in part for the benefit of my children or divided among them as they may respectively come of age as my said executors may deem proper. It is further my will that all my estate of whatsoever nature and description which is not herein otherwise appointed shall be equally divided among my children or in case my wife should sell it it is in the same manner to be equally divided as afd. Among my children. Lastly I do hereby constitute and appoint Jacob Todhunter, Abram Venable and my wife Polly Smith the executors of this my last will and testament. In testimony whereof I have hereunto set my hand and seal this 14th day of January 1806. Isaac Smith Signed and acknowledged in presence of Isaac Thomas , George Armstrong , Robert Crews. Jessamine County, Towit, February Court 1807. This last will and Testament of Isaac Smith deceased was produced in court by the Executors therein named and proven by the subscribing witnesses thereto and ordered to Record. Test Samuell H.
