Born October 13, 1867 in Magoffin County, She was the daughter of the late Eli and Lyda Tackett Lemaster. Prior to moving to Ashland 13 years ago she was a member of the Oil Springs Methodist Church. She was preceded in death by her husband, Manford Collins, who died in 1943. Surviving are five daughters, Mrs. Fred Branham, Springfield, Mrs. Sherman patrick, Mrs. Linzie Hayes and Mrs. Thomas D. Patton all of Ashland, and Mrs. R.P. Cantall, Sitka; two sisters, Mrs Ballard Conley, Riceville, and Mrs. William C. Hanson, Cincinnati, Ohio; 35 grandchildren, 65 great grandchildren, and three great grandchildren. Funeral services were held at Oil Springs Thursday afternoon, March 8, with the Rev. L.B. Hicks and the Rev. Billy Ball of Ashland Officiating. Burial was in the Collins Cemetery at Oil Springs.
