Funeral services were conducted at 2 p.m. Tuesday at Tabor's Creek Baptist Church with the Rev. J. C. Hager officiating. Burial was made in Dean Cemetery on Fort Gay Route 1. Mr. Pennington was born at Red Bush, KY, January 22, 1876, a son of the late William and Cynthia Curtis Pennington. He was a farmer and a member of the Methodist Church. Survivors include the widow, Mrs. Vinnia Salyers Pennington to whom he had been married 53 years, four daughters, Mrs. Mada Witt, Mrs. Mary Ball and Mrs. James Peck all of Fort Gay, and Mrs. Elda Copley of Butler, IN; five sons, Lloyd Pennington of Willow Wood, OH, Albert Pennington of Fort Gay, Roy Pennington of Akron, OH, Jay Pennington of Wooster, OH and Calvin Pennington of Baltimore; a sister, Mrs. Tennie Doss of Fort Gay; four brothers, Charley Pennington of Red Bush, Earl Pennington of South Point, OH, Willy Pennington of Fort Gay and Jay Pennington of Utah; 24 grandchildren and 3 great grandchildren. Funeral arrangements were under the direction of the Young Funeral Home.
