NIENABER 3922, Kenton Co. Surname: Nienaber, Heying Kentucky: A History of the State, Battle, Perrin, & Kniffin, 7th ed., Kenton Co. JOHN B. NIENABER, a native of Germany, was born in February, 1814, and when twenty-two years of age immigrated to America, settling in Covington in 1864. He was a tailor by trade, and for a few years kept a tailor and trimming store, but by buying and dealing in real estate extensively became wealthy. He was one of the most prominent and successful Germans who have ever lived in Covington. In 1843 he married Miss Mary Heying, a native of Germany, and three children blessed this union: Christiana, Lizzie and Lillie. Mr. Nienaber died May 31, 1884, a member of the Catholic Church.
