After a few weeks visit with relatives and friends, Miss Hattie Belle Beetem has returned to her home at LaGrange. Mr. and Mrs. Ralph Yocum announce the birth June 8 of a nine pound daughter, Jewel Frances. Dona Lee, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Roy Thompson, was the guest of her grandparents, Mr. and Mrs. Arthur Taylor, last week. Mrs. Clarence Yager, who for several weeks has been suffering with blood clots behind her eyes, is being taken to a specialist in Louisville. Miss Ella Jean Henry is with her grandmother, Mrs. John Henry, since her visit in Indpls. Mrs. George McEntire and children are spending this week in Lexington with her parents Mr. and Mrs. George Stevens. Dr. O. H. Cribbins, of Sarasota, Fla, arrived Friday at the home of his brother Lewis Cribbins. The Dr. is somewhat improved in health. Miss Mable Taylor is home for the summer. Mr and Mrs. Ralph Yocum and son spent Sunday with Mrs. J. W. Dunn. Miss Ida B. Davis, of Eagle, was the guest of Miss Katherine Sheperd at the home of Mrs. Elmer Dunn. ------------- Miss Muriel Long, daughter of Mrs. Gertrude Long, of Kings Ridge, became the bride of Wilbur J. Thompson, Sat. Jan 21, the marriage ceremony being performed at the residence of Rev. B. F. Chatham, officiating minister. They were accompanied by Mr. and Mrs. J. W. Taylor. Mrs. Thompson is a talented and lovable young lady, while Mr. Thompson is a prospeous young farmer, the son of Mr. and Mrs. J. A. Thompson. Both bride and groom have a wide circle of friends. They will make their home with the grooms parents.
