Carlisle’s Body Laid To Rest

Covington, Ky. – To be laid to rest among the scenes of his youth and many 
activities of his life, the body of John G. Carlisle, three times speaker of 
the house, United States Senator and Secretary of the Treasury, arrived here 
from Washington, where it has reposed in a vault since his death recently.
