Cincinnati Daily Enquirer, dated Thursday, July 21, 1864, page 2:
DIED
On Wednesday morning, at twenty minutes past 2 o'clock, Elmore Scott, 
aged 78 years.
His funeral will take place this Thursday morning at 9 o'clock from his 
late residence in Kenton county, Ky., carriages will leave at 6 o'clock 
a. m., the establishment of Thomas Reed, undertaker on Madison street, 
near 6th St., Covington, Ky.
