The funeral of Cleveland Scott took place Wednesday morning from the First Baptist Church, Covington. The funeral services were conducted by the pastor, Rev. C. C. Jones, assisted by Rev. Jon. Bennie, pastor of Madison Avenue, Presbyterian Church. Mr. Scott died suddenly at the home of his daughter, Mrs. C. R. Reading, at Waukegan, ILL. He was born in Kenton County, in 1820, and spent the most of his life in Covington. In 1842, he married Miss Elmira Collins, a sister of D. C. and Samuel Collins, of Crescent Springs, and Mrs. Whiton Wilson, pioneer residents of Kenton. Scott leaves a widow and six children; they are Mrs. A. E. Chambers, of Petersburg, Ky.; Mrs. W. S. Orr, of Covington; Mrs. L. R. Senior, Toronto, Ont.,; Mrs. C. R. Reading, Waukegan, ILL., and Mrs. E. F. Garrett, of Covington.
