She was a member of the Old Kentucky Primitives, Kenton County Homemakers and the Independence Historical Society. Surviving are a daughter, Elizabeth C. Sloan of Latonia; her father, Carl Rose of Morning View; and three sisters, Jean McMullin of Park Hills, Joan Banks of Warsaw, and Ruth Long of Morning View. Visitation will be 5 to 9 p.m. Friday at Chambers and Grubbs Funeral Home, Independence. Service will be 10 a.m. Saturday at the funeral home. Burial will be in Independence Cemetery. Memorials can be made to the Independence Civic Association, in care of Joan Hacker, 4478 Oliver Road, Independence 41051. ==============================================================================
