Subject: OBITUARIES: Elijah Bolen ------------------------------------------------------------------ Elijah Bolen was the son of Noah Bolen and Margaret Mullins husband of Mattie Collins and widower of Cora Collins He was the greatgrandson of John Rance Bolen & Levicy Collins Gibson This was taken from New Albnay Tribune he died 10-29-1959 E.L. "Lige Bolen, 73 of 1229 Vinceness St, died at 1:05 p.m. Wedensday in St. Edwards Hospital. Bolen Leaves 71 Direct descendants He was a Native of Knott Co Kentucky and a retired farmer. Surviving are his wife Mrs. Mattie Bolen, six sons, Columbus Bolen, New Albany; Gardner Bolen, Depauw; Straudie Bolen, Pinetop; Princess Bolen, Corydon; Roosevelt And Daniel Bolen both of Aliquippi Pa; three daughters Mrs Claude Williams(Ida Bolen Williams), and Mrs Elmer Sturgeon(Bessie Bolen Sturgeon) both of New Albany Mrs William Conrad (Vestie Bolen Conrad), Kendallville, IN; two brothers S.B.
